Packing, preparing

Packing for this trip feels like preparing for Christmas. Pretty soon it is going to be Christmas Eve and there is no more time to prepare. It has to be as good as it can be at some point.

Will I remember to pay all the bills before I go? Will I unplug all the appliances? Will I have enough entertainment for the plane? Will I remember all my tickets, passport, directions?

Any last minute advice for my first trip across the equator (which I was told today warrants a tattoo).
