There is a lot of pollution here. What appears to be cloud covered skies is actually a sunny day masked by smog. The amount of styrofoam and plastic in the sea water was distressing. I kept thinking that our kayaks would sink if we tried to collect it as we do back home. People here are very sad but there are not any government regs on burning dirty fuel oil on the barges and container ships. The container docks here make Long Beach port in LA look like a small time operation.
