Linking Awareness...at the Hong Kong Zoo

Powerful day of learning that many animals at the zoo for specific reasons of their own choosing. Their own life's work. Really makes me think about how I sometimes bring my own value system, belief system, opinions into relationships (with humans and animals) and those systems bring up emotions. I then believe those emotions (or sometimes actions, advise, etc) are for the good of the other being. When in reality, they are just about me. So when I feel sad or angry that the Giant Panda is at the zoo, perhaps, as I learned today he is actually quite happy to be gathering awareness for his species, raising money for panda research and habitat protection and bringing peace and joy to people.
