New Strategies for Giving and Receiving Feedback in a Pandemic
Overview
We all know feedback is required for growth and development. That is a truth. And yet, our ego wants to believe that we are highly capable and skillful. This causes a resistance, both to giving and receiving feedback.
Now that we are in a pandemic and people are suffering, grieving, disappointed and coping with so many factors outside our control, managers of people are more resistant than ever to give feedback. And yet clear, kind, fact-based feedback is an essential foundational component of how we are able to continue to develop and achieve goals, especially in great uncertainty.
